Mezzanine Finance
What is Mezzanine Finance?
Mezzanine Finance, sometimes known as gap funding, makes up the difference between the level of bank funding and the actual project cost. This can be for actual development or investment projects.
We have access to substantial specialist investment funds for this purpose.
We are able to assist our clients who have viable development or investment projects, but are short of part of or all of their entire financial contribution. By arranging for a cash injection into a project to make up this shortfall, we enable our clients to complete more transactions and projects within any given timescale.
What do we offer?
- A comprehensive package providing up to 100% of project costs.
- Then most cost-effective solutions for each project, with the right combination of bank and mezzanine funding.
- A profit-share basis so no servicing of interest (for development projects).
- Negotiable costs, dependant on the risk profile of each project.
- We will work in close liaison with your tax adviser when required to ensure the most tax effective structure.
How it works.
We vet each transaction with the benefit of key due diligence. All viable propositions will then be structured and presented to a panel of Mezzanine funders.
The Mezzanine funders will then price the structured support and make an offer.
We will then package the transaction together with bank funding and work with each parties' solicitors to formalise matters.
